2 Marketing Tips For Getting More Repeat Business

How often do you rack a colleague's brain about their marketing techniques? If you're like most small business owners, you want to know about the latest tricks and techniques that you can use to take your business to the next level. But unfortunately, most small business owners are "hoping" that their marketing will work for them - but the reality is that their business's is at the brink of extinction.

So what can you do to make sure that your business stays on top of the pack? Well I'm sure that you already know that there are alot of ways to get new customers into your business, but how many of these ways are you using to seek out new prospects and customers? Most business owners simply choose to "turn their head" when faced with a variety of marketing methods - but this is something that you shouldn't do if you want to make your business as profitable as possible.

I want to share with you some of my favorite tips to get new customers into your place of business. Here's the first tip that I can share:

1) Invite a colleague out to lunch

I'm pretty sure you have business colleagues who are doing really well in their business. So your goal here is to "rack their brain" and come away with new ideas that you can implement in your business. Let lunch be on you, and really focus in on what your colleague has to say.

More than likely they will share with you unconventional ways to seek out and get customers, and this is something that you should really pay attention to. You see in traditional offline marketing, most of the college textbooks focus on brand building, cold calling, telemarketing, going door to door, and etc. It shouldn't come off as a "shocker" that I don't agree with these marketing methods.

Here's another way of getting customers to come into your place of business.

2) Email marketing

This is a low-cost way to bring customers back into your business. Have customers and new prospects sign up to your online newsletter, where you can easily (and automatically) send them timely information about the topic of something related to your niche.

You can get an email autoresponder from a variety of places. 2 that I like are Aweber.com and Getresponse. Both work well for capturing leads, but I give the edge to Aweber. They have pre-made templates for generating leads, and it's actually quite professional. I personally use Aweber, and I think that you should too because it's so user friendly.

No matter which one you use, know that the sole purpose of your autoresponder is to keep in contact with your prospects and customers. An autoresponder can really boost your sales, so make sure you're not overlooking this aspect of your business.

The best news about an autoresponder is that you can automate how frequently you send out your emails. Consider emailing your prospects every 2 weeks. You don't want to seem like a pest to your subscribers, so only contact them when you have valuable information to share. This is what I do, and I think that you should do it also.
