An Aweber Sign-Up Form is one of the most important parts of your web design - this will enable your prospects to sign up and join your list. The process is two fold first you create the form and then you insert it into your webpage. Building that all important list should be your number one priority for your Internet Marketing business.
Creating a Sign-Up Form
This is also known as an Opt-In Form or a Web Form. Log into Aweber.com and Click on Web Forms (top blue tab) Now Click on Create Web Form (green button) Choose from the many templates available. Once you've chosen your preferred template Click on Load Template. Note - the Edit tabs and the Resize tab - play around with the various editing tools till you like the look of your form. You can change the colour and background too. Have fun! When finished editing Click on Save Web Form (green button). Then Click on Go To Step 2 (blue button). Now fill in the Form Name box and Click on Save Web Form (green button). Then Click on Go To Step 3 (blue button) this takes you to Inserting your form.Inserting the Sign-Up Form into your Webpage
From the final step above i.e. Go To Step 3 - a new window opens prompting you to install your web form on your website. Click on I Will Install My Form. Now Click on Raw HTML Version (on the right) Note the box below fills with all the computer code from the sign-up form you created but please don't be alarmed, it's not nearly as complicated as it looks! The great news is you don't need to understand this code all we are going to do with it is copy and paste it into our webpage. Easy! Now go to your html editor - this is where you created your webpage (I use Kompozer.net v7 it's free!). Now key in a line of x's wherever you want your sign-up form to appear on your webpage e.g. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. You'll see why in a moment this is a very handy tip that I was taught when I did it for the first time it makes life a whole lot easier! Now scroll down to the Source tab (bottom left of page) and Click on it. This brings you to all the computer code for your website if this is your first time seeing this page please don't be put off. Once you've been in it a few times it'll look a lot less scary. Now find all the x's you just keyed in because this is exactly where you will insert the Aweber code. Cool! Now go back to Aweber and Click anywhere in the box of code to highlight it and then Copy it. Go back to the Source page in your html editor (your webpage design). Highlight the x's and Paste in the Aweber code there. Important please ensure you only highlight the x's and nothing else, do not delete any other part of the existing code or any symbols. Now Click on the Normal tab to go back to your webpage. And Click on Save. Then Click on Browse this allows you to see the changes you've made. And Voila! You have just created and inserted a Sign-Up Form on your webpage. Well Done!
